On 5 September a new community clay relief mural, depicting three key figures from the history of Wells, was installed in the museum's walled garden. The mural was conceived by Philippa Threlfall, and created by a team of volunteers between October 2021 and July 2022. It will remain under wraps for the time being until it is formally unveiled on 24 September. An exhibition of Ann Cook's photographs, documenting the project through its various stages, will open in the museum on the same day, and run until 28 October.
