The Search & Learn project has been awarded £194,600 by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and has also been made possible thanks to a generous legacy from Jean Imray, a former Wells City Archivist. Over the next few years we will be refurbishing the two Wells City Galleries, restoring the study of our founder, Herbert Balch, and installing new displays and interactives.

The project includes a vibrant activities programme for residents, visitors and the wider community, alongside partnerships with external organisations and new and exciting opportunities to volunteer. Follow our progress in the project blog, below.
