Back in October Museum Trustee Philippa Threlfall launched a community project to create a mural for the museum garden. The mural will depict three figures who contributed significantly to the City of Wells as it developed through the ages: Bishop Beckynton, Dean William Turner and the museum’s founder Herbert Balch. Three groups of volunteers, each focusing on one of the figures, have been hard at work on the project, which has been painstakingly documented throughout by photographer Ann Cook.
The project has also attracted the attention of BBC Radio Somerset who visited Philippa's studio on 9 February and recorded an interview which can be heard here.
