Michael Brobson is based in Wells. In his work he likes to depict a story and atmosphere. For many years he sailed and taught navigation, and along with his landscapes, much of his work shows his fondness for the sea though atmospheric seascapes.

Michael uses oils or acrylic paint for most of his larger work but he likes to work in pencil and uses this along with watercolour when outdoors. Illustration work and smaller work is often completed in pen and wash.
